Lliswerry Road looking towards Nash Road

View from the front bedroom of 16, Lliswerry Road, towards Nash Road. The car in this picture belonged to Bob Smith, who was Ted Page the milkman's, brother - in - law. In the background is the Victoria Inn, and St. Andrews Church Hall.

 


After Eschol Villas, Picture No1

View from the same bedroom across to where the Eschol Villas prefabs had once stood, they were demolished around 1958. The street lamp was the bus stop. In the background are the houses of Thompsons Avenue. The tree in the foreground was a horse chestnut.

This is also a view of the former Eschol Villas site, but on the larger picture, you can make out the houses in Thompsons Avenue, and in the distance, Somerton Hill and Maple Crescent, with Lliswerry "Golf-links" in front.


Lliswerry Junior School

Lliswerry Junior School as it was in the 1950's. This picture was kindly supplied by Lavinia (nee) Dalton, who lived in Nash Road, just a couple of hundred yards south of the school.
